Do you still look at Microlearning as simply shorter videos? That's not necessarily wrong, but if that's all they are, then why don't we just call them "short videos"? Microlearning has been a hot topic for several years now and we finally know what makes great microlearning more than just short videos.
Dr. Robyn Defelice joined us to talk about Microlearning as a concept or methodology in addition to the final microlearning products we all want to create. Dr. Defelice talked to us about microlearning deriving an answer, creating extremely focused pieces of training that build on one another to enhance, grow, or remediate a skill or performance. But that's only one part of it. We also discussed the importance of data analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of your microlearning solutions.
But there's more. We discussed new skills required for instructional designers like learning to write differently, engage quickly, and more.
