[00:00] My client needs to move their content from Rise into
[00:03] Domino because they're going to be doing some reselling.
[00:06] So there are some features my client is looking
[00:08] to make use of.
[00:10] And so we did a test conversion from our, uh,
[00:13] articulate rise into Domino.
[00:15] And from there we worked to adjust some
[00:20] of the learner experience that, um, came along with this.
[00:24] As you can see here, this is Articulate Rise.
[00:26] We've got an image and some text.
[00:29] We don't have a lot of flexibility with how we can work
[00:32] with images and texts
[00:33] unless we go outside to a third party application to
[00:37] um, make amendments.
[00:38] And then we have to be really careful with that
[00:39] because if we bring that back in,
[00:41] it might not be responsive, right?
[00:42] So if we're going out and we're doing something in Photoshop
[00:45] and we're putting texts on an image
[00:46] or whatever we're doing, um,
[00:48] and we bring that back, that might not be responsive.
[00:50] So you have to be really careful.
[00:51] So we've got an articulate Rise course here.
[00:54] We're gonna talk about some of the things that I worked on
[00:57] with my client to really take this to a, a
[01:02] more customized and creative responsive design.
[01:06] So the first thing we did was we worked on the intro.
[01:11] So we've got some panels here to kind of give emphasis.
[01:15] If we had done this in Rise, we would have to do this
[01:17] outside of Rise and bring this in as a Photoshop item
[01:21] or uh, a vector image or even in a video.
[01:25] But we'd have trouble having it side by side.
[01:28] And Domino, I can have all
[01:29] of my elements in whatever order I want
[01:32] as many columns as I want.
[01:34] And as the device size changes, it's gonna respond
[01:37] and it's gonna present the information altogether in a group
[01:40] and it's still gonna look great.
[01:42] So we've got some panels here
[01:44] and I know over here on my Rise course we have um,
[01:47] we have these little things
[01:48] and underneath it there was a little tab set.
[01:51] My client's like, well, you
[01:52] know, that's kind of disconnected.
[01:54] I'd really like it if we could have them click on the
[01:57] image and it would pop up.
[01:58] Well, we can't do that in Rise.
[01:59] We would have to do that outside of Rise.
[02:02] But in Domino I was able to create these popups.
[02:07] So we are getting some, um, interactivity, some engagement.
[02:10] Each one of 'em pops up, gives the information,
[02:13] and we no longer have to have the information separated.
[02:16] We're keeping the information together for the learner so
[02:19] that they're recognizing the content goes together.
[02:22] I was kinda looking at this
[02:23] and uh, even looking back up to the top there, some
[02:26] of the things there, it allowed you
[02:29] and I, I think I'm not as good at at Rise as you are there,
[02:32] but, um, graphic and text
[02:35] and maybe you can switch the sides of it.
[02:36] Yeah, you can't really kind
[02:38] of bring multiple things together or comms and,
[02:41] and really lay it out
[02:43] and group 'em together however you want.
[02:45] Even the caption being able to grade different styles there
[02:49] or, or the call out tying it into it.
[02:52] The one thing you and I didn't talk about
[02:55] that I absolutely love,
[02:56] and I have to share this with everyone,
[02:57] do you notice it says there's a glossary And so in,
[03:03] in Domino I have a glossary that I can carry from course
[03:06] to course for this client.
[03:08] So every course has exactly the same glossary.
[03:11] It's amazing. You
[03:12] Can auto link the terms.
[03:13] So I mean it sounds like in this particular case you were
[03:16] able to not only just up the game
[03:19] and unleash your creativity, uh, within the time lane
[03:23] and budget that you had available of course,
[03:26] but then also, uh, find different ways
[03:28] to save time within the course.
[03:30] Auto linking and across courses, reusing those terms.
[03:34] Exactly. Not having to copy 'em.
[03:36] If you update 'em, they're the same everywhere.
[03:38] Well, that's fantastic.
