Nudge-Learning. Is it micro-learning? Is it slow-drip learning? Is it work-flow learning? Whatever it is, it's become another hot new term being used amongst instructional design communities. It's a new one for me, so of course we needed to learn more about it. I reached out on LinkedIn, commented on an article about it, and found Amy Parent from Salience Learning.
Amy is an experienced and passionate instructional designer and learning technologist who loves to experiment with new ideas, concepts, and trends. She's been experimenting with nudge-learning and so we asked her to join us for a discussion on the topic.
We covered everything we could from beginning to end. What it is. What it isn't. What are some current ideas for implementation. And what Amy has discovered during her experimentation.

About Amy Parent
Amy has over 15 years of instructional design experience. She has designed learning programs for the public education sector, business sector, and non-profit sector. She obtained her Master's Degree in Instructional Technology and Media Management through an accredited program at The State University of New York at Potsdam, NY. Amy designs for all learning situations, including e-learning, blended learning, webinars, and on-site face-to-face learning.
Some of the business organizations she has worked with include Capital One, Walmart Labs, WPP, MediaMath, MicroSoft, and IHG to name a few. She has been a panel speaker for the Chief Learning Officers breakfast club, ran a small meet-up for learning designers in New York City, and most recently participated in a cohort looking for ways to leverage xAPI data protocols in learning design. She launched NLI and Salience Learning’s first digital learning platform and learning programs.
