New introduction master pages, improved pre-testing features, shared / reusable master pages, and multi-language project enhancements streamline the learning content creation process.

Ottawa, Canada – March 14, 2025 – dominKnow is excited to announce the latest update to its award-winning learning content management and authoring system, dominKnow | ONE. The Winter 2025 Feature Release (Version 7.4.4.7 / 7.4.5.2) introduces powerful new features designed to enhance the authoring experience, improve learner engagement, and provide greater efficiency in managing multilingual content.

Better Learner Onboarding and Efficiency with New Introduction Master Pages

This release introduces Project and Module Introduction Master Pages, allowing authors to present critical information at the start of a project or module without cluttering the project outline. These new pages are automatically interjected as an overlay, drawing the learner's attention, resulting in enhanced clarity and making sure critical information is not missed.  Authors, in turn, gain tremendous efficiency and promote consistency through the reuse of customized Introduction Pages.

Improved Pre-Testing Capabilities for Better Learner Assessment and Efficiency

Pre-tests can be a critical part of any learning experience. With well-constructed questions, learners can test out of learning and save themselves and their organizations a tremendous amount of time and money. Making this process clear, concise, efficient and effective is critical to gaining approval for implementing this type of strategy with an organization’s learning program. dominKnow | ONE's already extremely flexible assessment capability has been enhanced further in three key areas to better aid organizations in addressing the types of concerns a test out strategy can present. 

First, learners can now be presented with a customized introduction page introducing the pre-test. In creating the customized page, authors can apply just about any type of design required to meet the needs of their organization. A new "Take Module Pre-test" action, that can be linked to a button or any item on the page, enables learners to directly launch the pre-test from this introduction. These combined capabilities prepare the learner and ensure immediate access to assessments, streamlining their journey.

Second, new on/off reusable Publishing Profile settings further enhance pre-testing control. Authors can now disable the default pre-test prompt and utilize the new custom Introduction Page for the unique needs of the organization.  Additionally, a new setting has been added to automatically terminate the pre-test if a passing score is unattainable. This saves learners and the organization time.  

Third, the update introduces customizable pre-test and post-test passing score settings. A common concern when implementing a pre-test strategy is that the passing score for the pre-test is too low, unless the learner also completes learning materials. Now organizations can implement stricter passing requirements (e.g. 100%) for pre-tests while allowing a lower threshold for post-tests (e.g. 80%), ensuring a more rigorous and effective knowledge validation process.

Greater Efficiency with Shareable / Reusable Master Pages

Reusing materials can be a tremendous time saver and aids consistency by providing authors with the ability to update once and cascade changes throughout all instances.  With reuse now available for Master Pages (e.g., Headers, Footers, End Screens, Introductions and Certificates), authors can ensure consistency while reducing redundant efforts. Changes to a shared Master Pages will now automatically synchronize across all associated projects. This new functionality greatly streamlines updates and enhances content uniformity.

Enhanced Language Management for Global Training Programs

dominKnow | ONE’s advanced multilingual capabilities, which provide the ability to manage all languages in a single course, have been further enhanced, allowing organizations to easily depreciate support for a language if their needs change. Now an author can simply view the languages provided in a project and remove any that are no longer relevant with one click. This update simplifies project management, enabling content creators to refine and adjust language selections without needing to manually exclude them when updating content and during publishing.
